The visit of the third vice-president of the Government and Minister for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, Sara Aagesen, to La Robla Green positions the project as one of the key industrial developments for the decarbonization and transformation of the energy system in Spain.

With its three projects in Castile and León, the company is consolidating its European leadership in the green e-Methanol sector. This is Reolum's second plant in León and will be connected to La Robla via two 37km pipelines. The industrial complex will cover 40 hectares and represent an investment of €500 million. It will create an average of 400 jobs, with 800 during peak construction periods and more than 60 during operation.

This is the company's third project in Castilla y León, after La Robla and Villadangos Green. The industrial complex will cover 26.8 hectares. 1,500 jobs will be created at peak construction times and more than 200 during operation.

Reolum, a company that conceives and develops innovative projects to promote decarbonization and advance the energy transition, founded by Fernando Muñoz and Yann Dumont, has awarded DP CleanTech the design, supply and construction of the biomass boiler for the 50MWe biomass cogeneration plant for the La Robla Green project, located in the Leonese municipality of La Robla.

March 10, 2025. Specifically, the Spanish company Reolum, specializing in innovative energy transition solutions, has commissioned the consortium formed by Técnicas Reunidas and Siemens Energy to carry out the front-end engineering design of the project as a preliminary step to its future construction in La Robla (León). Siemens Energy's work will focus on the renewable hydrogen unit, while Técnicas Reunidas will handle the biogenic carbon capture and e-Methanol production units.

February 23, 2025. Both plants are part of the La Robla Green macro-project, which represents an investment of €850 million and will generate 200 direct jobs in areas designated as Just Transition zones.

February 6, 2025. Financing for the project's €850 million investment has practically been secured, half of which will be through the EIB, and all permitting has just been completed, from the water concession to the construction permit.

31/10/2024. The Governing Council today approved the Regional project 'La Robla Green' which includes the construction of an industrial complex for the generation of renewable electricity and heat using agricultural biomass, as well as the production of e-Methanol through the capture of CO2 and renewable H2, within a clean fuel production process that will generate a direct investment of nearly 700 million and the creation of around one hundred jobs during the 25 years of operation in an area depressed after "the end of mining and thermal energy".

León, August 31, 2023 – The two initiatives will transform the old power plant into Spain's most important hydrogen production hub and a key center for biomass production. Both projects will create 100 direct and 350 indirect jobs.

Reolum, a company specializing in the promotion and development of renewable energy, has been awarded 46.1 MW in the third energy auction convened by the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO), held yesterday. The award was for biomass technology and at a price of €106.25/MWh.

Madrid. October 26, 2022. Acciona Energía and Reolum have emerged as the big winners of the third biomass auction, with 50 and 46 megawatts of the 140 offered, respectively.

Reolum, a company specializing in the promotion and development of renewable energy, today joined the Winds of the Future campaign promoted by the Wind Energy Business Association, along with Talent for Sustainability, the Foundation for Climate Research (FIC), and the New Economy and Social Innovation (NESI). 

37% of the energy produced in Spain comes from renewable sources. 0.87% represents the sector's value in national GDP. It takes two years to develop a project, from scratch or greenfield, to financial close, compared to up to nine years in France.

EU 80% Target: The EU's objective is to achieve 80% of its electricity coming from renewable sources by 2050.
