The favorable environmental impact statement boosts the progress of Villadangos Green

The resolution of the Junta de Castilla y León represents a new milestone for the development of Villadangos Green and reinforces the evolution of the project within Reolum's industrial strategy to promote decarbonization.

Villadangos Green continues to advance its development with the receipt of a favorable Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) issued by the Regional Government of Castile and León. The resolution, published in the Official Gazette of Castile and León (BOCyL), deems the project environmentally viable, conditional upon compliance with the protective and corrective measures established during the assessment process.

This new step represents a significant milestone in the administrative processing of the project and confirms the progress of an initiative destined to play a strategic role in the industrial and energy transformation of Castilla y León.

Villadangos Green envisions the construction of a green hydrogen plant and a green e-methanol plant in the Villadangos del Páramo industrial park. The complex will be connected to La Robla Green via a hydro pipeline and a carbon pipeline of approximately 37 kilometers, creating an integrated industrial ecosystem that will optimize resources and enhance the efficiency of the model developed by Reolum.

The environmental resolution also highlights that the chosen site, located in an already industrialized environment, contributes to minimizing the impact on the landscape and the natural environment, always under compliance with the conditions set by the competent Administration.

With this progress, Villadangos Green continues to consolidate itself as one of the key projects within Reolum's growth strategy, based on the development of industrial infrastructures capable of boosting the production of renewable fuels and contributing to the decarbonization of sectors that are difficult to electrify.

Obtaining the favorable Environmental Impact Statement represents a new step in the project's roadmap, which continues to advance in its processing to become, together with La Robla Green, one of the main industrial hubs linked to green hydrogen and e-Methanol in Spain.
