Madrid, December 16, 2025. Reolum, The company, which conceives and develops innovative projects to promote decarbonization and advance the energy transition, founded by Fernando Muñoz and Yann Dumont, has reported on the progress of its second project in León -after La Robla Green-, specifically, in Villadangos del Páramo during an institutional event that took place yesterday in the town with reason for the completion of the second phase of expansion of the industrial park and one of the largest in northern Spain.
Villadangos Green, whose Construction is scheduled to begin in the second half of 2026., will entail a €500M investment and will have a magnitude of 40 hectares intended for the production of 140,000 t/year of green e-Methanol, a synthetic fuel of renewable origin that will be key to the decarbonization of heavy transport, especially the maritime and air; and the chemical industry.
The great innovation This regional project consists of the 200kt/year of CO2Unused items from La Robla will be transported via 37km pipeline to the Villadangos del Páramo industrial park. Additionally, It will build a second pipeline that will have a storage capacity of H2 up to 12t and that will allow the The union of two electrolyzers and two industrial parks: the Crispín and the Villadangos del Páramo, a first-rate innovation in the world of hydrogen. Capable of integrating diverse technologies, Villadangos Green has been recognized and awarded grants within the Valles del H Program2, sponsored by MITECO.
Furthermore, the project It received the second highest rating of the 27 projects submitted to the Spanish Government's green energy incentive program. and will be subsidized with 87 million euros from the European Next Generation funds. In fact, The European Commission has included it in its list of Projects of Common Interest.
The project consists of the design, construction and operation of an integrated facility that It will consist of a green hydrogen plant and a green e-methanol synthesis plant with a capacity of 140,000 t/year of green e-methanol., thus consolidating its market leadership.
The plant, which will be located in the Villadangos del Páramo Industrial Estate (León), plans to create about 400 jobs on average and 800 during peak construction periods; and more than 60 direct jobs during operation.
In the words of Alfonso Fernández Mañueco, President of the Regional Government of Castile and León “The Villadangos industrial park is consolidating itself as a green industrial enclave, with integrated rail and top-level services, destined to be the largest in northwest Spain and to become a national benchmark for its ability to attract technological investment and generate quality employment.”
For Yann Dumont, founding partner and CEO of Reolum “Being here today is a source of great excitement. The completion of the second expansion of the industrial park is also a significant achievement for us, as it brings us closer to the start of industrial construction. With Villadangos Green and thanks to La Robla Green, we will be able to generate 280,000 tons per year of green e-methanol, a renewable NDF that will be in high demand by industry. This project has an added dimension due to the innovation that characterizes us, as it will not only transport CO₂2 We connected two industrial parks: El Crispín and Villadangos del Páramo, an unprecedented milestone resulting in one of the most cutting-edge technological facilities in Europe.”
About Reolum
Reolum conceives and develops innovative projects to drive decarbonization and advance the energy transition. Green e-methanol represents a major commitment by the company to a new product. premium of decarbonization, due to its versatility and sustainability, in the form of fuel for maritime transport, as an intermediate product for the production of SAF -the renewable aviation fuel- or in its historical use as a chemical product and raw material for hundreds of everyday products.
Reolum's projects also present a series of differentiating characteristics compared to others currently on the market for the following reasons: integration of biogenic CO₂ into e-methanol production, either within the same industrial complex or directly connected to it; production of top-quality green e-methanol with a minimal carbon footprint, potentially even achieving a negative footprint at the source; and a financial structure through Project Finance, This allows medium-sized companies, and not just large corporations, to access highly capital-intensive hydrogen projects.
Additionally, all the projects bring significant social value to the regions where they are implemented, making use of underutilized rural resources and prioritizing Just Transition Zones, which need a boost to adapt to new energy paradigms. Finally, it demonstrates a strong commitment to talent and innovation, attracting leading technology companies, engineering firms, and construction companies, who find new market opportunities in these projects thanks to the learning curve in which Reolum is investing.
Founded in 2019 by two visionary partners – Fernando Muñoz and Yann Dumont – it has a multidisciplinary team of more than 30 professionals with experience in energy, biomass, sustainability and finance, dedicated to transforming energy generation, consumption and green fuel production from a profitable and sustainable perspective.
