March 10, 2025. Specifically, the Spanish company Reolum, specializing in innovative energy transition solutions, has commissioned the consortium formed by Técnicas Reunidas and Siemens Energy to carry out the front-end engineering design of the project as a preliminary step toward its future physical execution in La Robla (León). Siemens Energy's work will focus on the renewable hydrogen unit, while Técnicas Reunidas' work will address the biogenic carbon capture and e-methanol production units.

February 23, 2025. Both plants are part of the La Robla Green macro-project, which represents an investment of €850 million and will generate 200 direct jobs in areas designated as Just Transition zones.

February 6, 2025. Financing for the project's €850 million investment has practically been secured, half of which will be through the EIB, and all permitting has just been completed, from the water concession to the construction permit.

31/10/2024. The Governing Council today approved the "La Robla Green" Regional Project, which includes the construction of an industrial complex for the generation of renewable electricity and heat using agricultural biomass, as well as the production of e-methanol through CO2 and renewable H2 capture, as part of a clean fuel production process. This project will generate a direct investment of nearly 700 million euros and the creation of around 100 jobs over the 25 years of operation in a depressed area following "the end of mining and thermal energy."

Reolum, a company specializing in the promotion and development of renewable energy, has been awarded 46.1 MW in the third energy auction convened by the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO), held yesterday. The award was for biomass technology and at a price of €106.25/MWh.

Madrid. October 26, 2022. Acciona Energía and Reolum have emerged as the big winners of the third biomass auction, with 50 and 46 megawatts of the 140 offered, respectively.

Reolum, a company specializing in the promotion and development of renewable energy, today joined the Winds of the Future campaign promoted by the Wind Energy Business Association, along with Talent for Sustainability, the Foundation for Climate Research (FIC), and the New Economy and Social Innovation (NESI). 

37% of the energy produced in Spain comes from renewable sources. 0.87% represents the sector's value in national GDP. It takes two years to develop a project, from scratch or greenfield, to financial close, compared to up to nine years in France.

EU 80% Target: The EU's objective is to achieve 80% of its electricity coming from renewable sources by 2050.
