León. August 31, 2023 The two initiatives will transform the old power plant into Spain's most important hydrogen production hub and a key center for biomass production. Both projects will create 100 direct and 350 indirect jobs.
Enagás, Naturgy and Reolum, in two separate projects, are increasing their investment in the La Robla area to 645 million euros, generating half a thousand jobs, as announced this Tuesday at the official presentation of both projects.
The first two will convert the old thermal power plant into the most important hydrogen production hub in Spain, while Reolum will promote a biomass power plant.
According to the projects announced today, Naturgy and Enagás Renovable will invest a total of 485 million euros in a renewable hydrogen plant that will have a 280-megawatt electrolyzer and will employ fifty people.
