Reolum, a company that conceives and develops innovative projects to promote decarbonization and advance the energy transition, founded by Fernando Muñoz and Yann Dumont, has awarded DP CleanTech the design, supply and construction of the biomass boiler for the 50MWe biomass cogeneration plant for the project La Robla Green, located in the Leonese municipality of La Robla.
The project, equipped with a budget of 850 million euros, It consists of the design, construction, and operation of an integrated facility that It consists of a 50 MWe biomass cogeneration plant, biogenic CO2 capture, a green hydrogen production plant (with a capacity of 200 MWe of electrolyzers) and a green e-methanol plant (with a production capacity of 140,000 tons).).
Robla Green sits on 40 hectares very close to where Naturgy's now defunct coal-fired power plant used to be, and it is expected that It will create approximately 1,600 jobs during construction and 200 direct jobs during 20 years of operation, of which 60% will be reserved for local profiles., prioritizing groups affected by decarbonization.
